Li, Zhengqiang

Dr. Li currently holds a post as the President of Dalian Commodity Exchange and the Secretary of the Party Committee. Li has been working in China Securities Regulatory Commission for almost 30 years since early 1990s when it had been first established. He was the main person formulated “the fundamental law” and various of rules for the implementation on supervision in the fund industry. After graduated from the Guanghua school of management in Peking University, Dr. Li has published one research paper “The structure of investment and fund industry in United States: evolution and enlightenment”, focused on analyzing the structure of fund industry and its evolution process in the United States, giving further crucial thinking of how China would develop in this realm. Li also has his own knack in the relationship between fund industry and capital market, a prudent approach to the transformation from a closed-end fund into an open-ended type, as well as the fund product marketing issues as early as 2004.
